3 ideas for this weekend in Manchester (19th-21st March 2010)

So, we don’t normally do this, the Visit Manchester blog does. They can’t do it this week reasons undisclosed (actually I didn’t ask.) So as not to let the lovely Visit Mancheter readers down, as a SUPER special feature here are our 3 ideas for this (hopefully sunny) weekend in Manchester..

Nexus Art CafĂ© http://www.nexusartcafe.com/  on Dale Street in the Northern Quarter are running an Urban Car Boot sale. It will be on from 1pm until 5pm and promice trinkets and treasures. Nice idea for those who find it difficult getting to out of town car boots. If it’s a success hopefully it will be a regular feature. Maybe you could even sell some stuff there next time?

The Manchester mile of Sport relief is on Sunday http://www.sportrelief.com/the-mile/manchester-mile thousands of people will take to the streets of Manchester City Centre to have loads of fun as they raise cash to help poor and vulnerable people in the UK and across the world's poorest countries. So get down to the course and support them, there will be music and other activities to keep spectators entertained – or get involved yourself! Starting from 10am

t’s the last weekend of Varekai – Cirque Du Soleil at the Trafford centre. There are limited tickets left and it’s a show not to be missed (apparently!) http://www.cirquedusoleil.com/en/shows/varekai/tickets/manchester.aspx
