Bill Murray

SO, Me and Discouture Kat (a member of The Mainstream Team you have yet to meet) went to go and see A Bill Murray film at An Outlet as a part of their series of Wednesday events 'Arty Farty Film Party' Lets get things straight:

- An Outlet is a nice little cafe on Dale Street
- Arty Frty Film Party is a weekly film showing
- The Bill Murray film was Groundhog Day as chosen by the public

Pretty exciting as we didnt know what film it was going to be until it actualy started. Bill Murray was great, Groundhog Day is one of the best films ever. We both laughed too loud, oops.
Better than the cinema because of the friendly atmosphere, the good quality food and wine (£6 a bottle of red and £2.50 for natchos) and the fact that the film is FREE.
Considering we only went because Kat has a crush on Bill Murray it was well worth it.

Look mummy, I did a blog all by myself!
So I finally got round to doing the podcast, it can be found in all it's glory at: http://soundcloud.com/themainstream
It's been a fairly hectic week what with birthdays and drinking and the like. I'm off on my summer jollies until September and have precious little to do.
I feel I should take up a hobby other than just being a sandwich delivery boy with one customer.
- Maybe I should make use of my gym?
- Attempt to figure out web design?
- Brew my own ale?
Who knows, however suggestions are welcome.
On an unrelated note Spinningfields is making good use of itself lately and the excellent Gideon Conn is playing live tonight, for free.
So will hopefully be down to check it out and maybe do a bit of roadie-ing like when I saw him at hungry pigeon, his mic stand kept falling as he was tinkering on his keyboard and I held it up for 3ish songs (proper hero me).
I did say to my old tag team partner THE JUGGERNAUT that I might check out the wrasslin in Hindley, but trains and entry aren't free, whereas wandering down to NewKro (with it's surprisingly affordable bar with guest ales and that) is.
Well after being forced by Bex to blog, I'm done.

Good Morning!
So, its 3am on Friday night (Saturday morning) and I’m awake writing a blog. Why? You may ask.. Well, Its not because I have been on a great and wonderful night out, oh no… Its also not because my flatmate has a friend round and they are playing music; Its also not because I am a vampire.. well why then? Its because I fell asleep at 7pm and now its morning for me! Great.
The glamorous lifestyle of a radio presenter.
Anyway, the show is today and we have many many guests, just how we like it! It’s a Not Part Of festival special – Whoop! Tune in for:
Tricia Coleman from Be Your Own Hero. They are doing an Interactive Street Theatre event called Killing Time on Chorlton Green this Saturday evening
Jenny Roche from Sitcom Shorts which is an enterprising new initiative by Manchester Comedy Writers Group to showcase 5 x 15 minute sitcoms with something for everyone’s sense of humour. Plus stand-up comedy
12 actors, selected for their comedic abilities, are playing 23 parts.
Rob Alexander, told me he was a 'stirist from leeds' so I’m not sure whether he meant a Sitarist or a Satirist..? I guess I will find out soon enough!
Theres prolly loads of other stuff too but I don’t know about that – Kev does.
I’m off for some Cornflakes. Toodaloo.
